Kashmir is a place to visit all year round. It wears unique looks in all four seasons of the year, namely spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In spring season, the valley looks multihued with flowers of vivid colors and varieties. Summer days are refreshing with lush green meadows while autumn season is characterized by fruit laden trees. Winter season is the best time to indulge in snow sports over snow clad valley. So, it would be better if you could visit Kashmir in all four seasons to witness four different views of the valley which looks like a picture straight out of a fairytale. Tourism official has globally declared that Kashmir is now as safe as any part of the world. It has become a safe zone. Tourists are back in Kashmir with a recorded number of 2 million in 2011 including foreign tourists. Many countries have even changed their travel advisories against Kashmir. For the past four years, the Kashmiri people are enjoying the peace and prosperity of the region with the growth of tourism.

The most perfect time of visiting Kashmir begins from 1st April until August and winters (from October to February)are quite cold and not perfect for traveling.
Kashmiri Wazwanis the popular and most wanted cuisine made from Mutton and is served during the times of marriages and functions. There are also various delicious cuisines served in the hotels and restaurants in Srinagar.
Beef is not served in the hotels and houseboats. Dishes are usually made from mutton and chicken.

The fee of Gondola Ride per person is Rs 8oo from Gulmarg to Kungdoor. There is absolutely no fee for children with less than 3 years are free. The fee from Kungdoor to Apharwat is Rs. 1000 per adult person. No fee for children below 3 years. *subject to change
